The Duchess of Cambridge is planning to give birth to child number three at the Lindo Wing in St Mary’s Hospital, London.
Parking restrictions have recently gone up outside the London Hospital and barriers have been erected outside the private maternity ward.
Kensington Palace previously confirmed that Kate was due to give birth in April, but an exact date has never been publicly confirmed. It seems that with the parking restrictions and barriers in place, the baby could be due any day now!
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Harry and Prince William were all born at the St. Mary’s Hospital. The Lingo Wing prides itself on offering hotel services to all patients.
The rooms are very modern and come with en suites, satellite TV, a choice of daily newspapers in the morning and even special meals made to order. There’s also an afternoon tea service and wine list!
Although this sounds amazing to what we all might be use to, a normal birth in a standard room costs £5,900, plus £1,175 for any additional night’s stay. Deluxe rooms and suites are even more expensive, William and Kate could spend close to £7,500 for a suite! Not bad when you’re Royalty, ehh!
The new born baby will become fifth-in-line to the throne, after granddad Prince Charles, dad Prince William, big brother Prince George and big sister Princess Charlotte. It also means that Prince Harry will be pushed down to sixth.
Kate and William have chosen not to find out the sex of their baby before its birth.
As happened with George and Charlotte, the first we’ll hear about the royal baby’s arrival is an announcement from Kensington Palace that Kate has gone into labour!
