Comedian Paul Elliot AKA Paul Chuckle, told This Morning’s Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langford, that his Brother Barry actually died of bone cancer.

He said that Barry, who died earlier this month at the age of 73, kept it a secret from him and their manager as “He wanted to work until he died, He actually wanted to die on-stage.”

Paul went on to say “I’ve not just lost my brother, I’ve lost my theatrical partner of many, many years and my very best friend.”

“The family would like to express their thanks to the many people who have been fans of the Chuckle Brothers and they know that they will share in part the great, great loss they feel.”

Paul also discussed the pair’s famous catchphrase “To me, to you,” on This Morning.

Eamonn asked: “It was actually about furniture removal wasn’t it?”

Paul agreed: “Yeah, we didn’t mean for it to be a catchphrase… it just happened.”

The BBC plan to show a Chuckle Brothers marathon later this year in memory of Barry Elliot.
